Surface Treatment of Sheet Metal Processing

The decorative and protective effects of sheet metal processing on the surface of the product are recognized by many industries.In the sheet metal processing industry, the surface treatment methods commonly used are electroplating, spraying and other surface treatment methods.

3. Aluminum alloy castings cannot be treated with anodic oxidation;
4. The thin and long tube shape (whose length is more than 2 times diameter) is not suitable for electrochemical treatment because there will be no film layer on the inner surface; Special measures can be taken to meet the requirements
5. If there are deep grooves or fine holes (general meaning that the depth is more than 2 times the diameter or opening width, but the fine workmanship is not subject to this limit), the inner surface will not cover the coating completely;
6. It is better to phosphatize the steel parts before spraying, to increase the adhesion of the coating;
7. The steel plate with bright nickel is to improve its corrosion resistance, and it can be plated with copper or dark nickel.
8. Zinc base alloy is generally used as protective decoration of electroplating layer. In order to improve the binding force of the coating, it is generally required to precoat copper or nickel.
9. Since most organic gases have a corrosive effect on zinc, it should be carefully selected in the design of sheet metal processing to contact or assemble with organic materials in the same airtight body;
10. For electroplated (oxidation) parts with riveting requirements, the process must be electroplated (or oxidized) and then riveted.
